Sunday, April 23, will see West Esplanade come alive, as the Circular Head Council teams up with Libraries Tasmania, Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation, Soroptimist International of Circular Head, Relationships Australia Tasmania and many more, to bring you a Community Connections Event, funded by the Healthy Tasmania Fund. The event runs from 12pm-3pm with free food, music, dance and games, as people are encouraged to come together and celebrate our community. The event is designed as a belated Harmony Week /Neighbour Day celebration that was postponed due to cultural reasons, to ensure that it is inclusive to all members of the community. Circular Head Council’s, Amber Power, said, “After Covid and pressures over the last few years, we know that a lot of members of our community feel isolated. They have told us this through community consultation and surveys.
