Timeout on Emmett has sold its last pie and coffee after 19 years of serving the Circular Head community. Owners Cheryl Sharrock and Bunny Berecheree have decided to sell the iconic Emmett Street business much to the sadness of their valued customers.
Taking over the reigns from Banjo’s Bakery in 2003, Sharrock and Berecheree have turned Timeout on Emmett into an institution that Circular Head locals have come to love.
“When we first opened, Smithton was a very different place,” Sharrock said.
“We had a lot of industry like McCain veggies, Gunns and Forestry. They’d employ hundreds of casual employees between them, but then they sort of all closed around the same time.”
