Local Smithton resident Samara Saward has just written her first book, paranormal romance novel, The Opal Wolf. Saward, an avid reader, was inspired to write the fated mate shifter after her partner, Daniel, bought her a Kindle. Not overly enthused by the concept of not being able to flick through the pages of an actual book, Saward said she soon changed her mind and became obsessed with her new device.
