More than just shoes

More than just shoes

There’s a new place to check out for all things footwear and more in the heart of Smithton, Boots ’n‘ All.

The Smith Street store welcomed excited locals in for a look at the freshly refurbished space on the first day of business on Thursday September 26.

The store boasts a little bit of something for everyone and owner Leanne Porteus is excited for customers to enjoy the shopping experience.

“We’ve worked really hard to revitalise it,” she said.

On Wednesday night before opening, Leanne with husband Mark and shop assistant Michelle Haywood were busily preparing until 1.30am.

“We’re exhausted,” she laughed.

“But it’s nice to finally be open.”

Formerly Mod Shoe Centre, when the business changed hands Boots ’n‘ All worked with Savannah Denny Designs to create an open, warm and comfortable space for customers.

Fresh paint, carpet, lighting and shelves have transformed the space.

Customers will be greeted by the helpful smiling faces of Michelle, Jasmin Porteus and Annette Dawes, who will use their measurable expertise to find you the right pair of shoes.

And the range doesn’t stop at shoes. Boots ’n‘ All also stocks a range of handbags and purses for all occasions.

Leanne said she is grateful for the support of her friends and family during a busy time in the lead up to opening.

“My husband Mark has been working flat out trying to get everything ready,” she said.

“I had friends drop in yesterday to help out and make sure I had everything ready, I really couldn’t have done it without them.”

Boots ’n‘ All is open for business 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 9.30am to 12pm every Saturday.

Leanne Porteus, with daughter Jasmin (left) and experienced shoe salesperson Michelle Haywood were excited to open the doors of Boots ’n‘ All to customers last week.
