More than money

More than money

Wealth Financial was built on trusted relationships with clients.

Formerly Graeme Drake Financial Services, Graeme and wife Louise established the local boutique business in their Massey Street home.

Within a year, the business expanded into its Emmett Street premises where it remains two decades on.

In 2006, as the business continued to grow, Michael Thrower joined the team as equal partner and the business became known as Wealth Financial.

Providing financial advice and planning for investments, retirement plans and insurance, Wealth Financial understands that everyone is different.

“Wealth Financial continues to flourish, beyond our wildest dreams all those years ago,” Mr Drake says.

“We now partner with many clients all over Tasmania and throughout Australia.

“Along the journey we have faced many challenges with regular changes to our industry, due to increased scrutiny and changes to legislation.

“However, these challenges have been overcome and we continue to provide a high level of professional, cutting-edge service to our clients.”

One such challenge is the Royal Commission into misconduct in the industry.

While many businesses have restricted services due to the increased compliance scrutiny, Wealth Financial welcomes a new business partner to the team.

With six years experience in the industry, Michael Rowlands is keen to find the best outcome for his clients.

A family man, Mr Rowlands and wife Anna have three children – Mitchell, Georgina and Miller.

“Our family has strong values and ethics. We believe in being a part of the fabric of the community which resonated with my decision to join Wealth Financial and the Circular Head region,” he says.

“I enjoy meeting people and learning their story to identify ways I can make a difference in someone’s life – to deliver value.”

With this in mind, Wealth Financial focuses on establishing relationships rather than the transaction.

“Providing people with clarity and comfort for what their future will look like is what we strive for,” Mr Thrower says.

“Our skill is to break down advice into laymen’s terms, to be able to provide understanding and to articulate that concept.”
