Organ Pipes find new home

As the newly refurbished Uniting Church Community Hub officially opened on October 17, the decision on where to preserve the Church’s iconic Organ Pipes has been made as they have been donated to the Circular Head Heritage Centre.

The earliest record of Methodist activity at Smithton dates back to 1907 with the first meetings of worship held in a potato shed, however the construction of a weatherboard church on Goldie Street began in mid-1912.
