Emmerson Wells is the next young Circular Head local to spread her wings and try her luck on the international basketball stage. She joins an inspiring list of young hoopers including Marshal Evans, Jacob Furphy and Charli Kay.

Wells has received a scholarship with Salem University, West Virginia, who are a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II competition. Departing in late August, Wells described the signing as an opportunity of a lifetime.

“I’m really excited but also nervous about moving to the other side of the world.” Wells said.
