After the fires and the floods

Jo Morgan-French grew up dairy farming in New Zealand with her family before moving to Woolnorth in 1997, then known as VDL.

Freshly out of high school at 17 she began working for John Quilliam before heading to Nabageena

to manage a dairy farm for her parents before joining the Army.

Spending nearly 12 years in the armed forces, where she met her husband Craig (Rabbit) she toured Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan before getting out.

“I got out, mainly because I had had enough,” she said.

“Rabbit was medically discharged due to injuries and became a civic contractor in Afghanistan, working two months on and one month off.”
