The Smithton Bowl attracted a close to capacity field across all three days of the long weekend, with golfers from tens of golfers from across Tasmania and interstate making the trip for the annual event.

This year marked the inaugural Danny Edwards Memorial, in honour of the late greenskeeper at the Smithton Country Club.

Danny was the winner of the Bowl last year and in a touching tribute before the presentation wife Tammy Edwards said he had labelled the achievement the highlight of his sporting career.
