Event. The Rocky Cape Lions Club is this weekend hosting its Health and Wellbeing Expo, a chance to explore holistic health.

The third biennial event will showcase an array of natural and alternative therapies, home grown produce and preserves, and information for locals to peruse this Mother’s Day.

“We hope community members come out to enjoy a relaxing outing filled with different options to consider,” says club president Victoria Cochrane.

“Bring Mum along – there is something for everybody.”

From psychic readings and spiritual healing to reflexology and massage, explore what is on offer or browse the fresh produce and homemade products.

Take a moment to check on your health with free hearing checks and blood pressure tests available, or find out more about the Lions’ eye health program and drug awareness initiatives.

A gold coin donation upon entry will go towards the purchase of a defibrillator for Rocky Cape Tavern, says Victoria, with plans also to provide access to defibrillators at Rocky Cape Roadhouse and Detention River Store.

“All donations that come from the public go back into the community,” she says.

“Nothing is used on administration costs, it’s straight back to the community to support the community.”

The Health and Wellbeing Expo is on this Sunday (May 13) at Rocky Cape Tavern from 10am to 4pm.
