Tourism. A DC-3 airliner touched down at Smithton Airport this morning, carrying a group of passengers set to tour the Circular Head region.

The group will be staying overnight before leaving tomorrow afternoon, with their stay similar to that of a previous group who touched down in Smithton on the same plane in late November last year.

The DC-3 was built between 1935 and 1946, used largely as a mode of military transport during the second World War.
