CHFA. Tough battles without the momentum

Round nine of the Circular Head Football Association season saw two well fought battles.

The visiting Redpa side started strong to boot the first major however could not hold onto this momentum allowing Scotchtown to overtake on the scoreboard before the first break.

The two rivals kept scores close until the last quarter when the home side ran away for a 46 point victory, 12.18.90 to 7.2.44.

Early morning rain made the oval heavy for the teams at Irishtown however the home side jumped out for a five goal lead ahead of Forest Stanley at the main break.

The visitors found their feet in the second half but an early lead allowed Irishtown to claim the game, 10.10.70  to 4.4.28.

In the Reserves games, Irishtown defeated Forest Stanley 13.11.89 to 2.2.14 while Redpa notched a win against Scotchtown 7.3.45 to 2.8.20.
