Tigers claw Redlegs

CHFA. Round three of the Circular Head Football Association saw Scotchtown claim a 99 point win against Redpa.

Taking control of the game early, Scotchtown conceded just one major while booting four of their own in the first term then prevented Redpa from impacting the scoreboard at all in the second while securing five goals.

With a 57 point margin separating the sides, Redpa fought back to secure two goals in the third however Scotchtown kicked a number of goals and single points to extend their lead further to 64 points at the final break before running away winners, 19.17.131 to 4.8.32.

Playing in muddy conditions, a tight contest ensued between Irishtown and Forest Stanley at Irishtown.

The visitors held the lead narrowly during the first half before the home side fought back to win a 21 point game, 12.18.90 to 10.9.69.

In the Under 16s, Redpa, 11.16.82, claimed an uncontested victory over Scotchtown while Irishtown controlled the game to win 9.11.65 against Forest Stanley, 2.3.15.

Scotchtown prevented Redpa from scoring more than one point for the first three quarters in the Reserves game before ultimately winning 8.16.64 to 1.2.8. Irishtown kicked away against Forest Stanley to win 11.4.70 to 3.3.21.

Round four of the Circular Head Football Association will see Irishtown host Scotchtown and Forest Stanley travel to meet Redpa this Saturday (May 27).
