Championship. Circular Head Christian School Maroon emerged victorious from the school soccer roster Grand Final.

An action packed six weeks produced games between seven teams from St Peter Chanel Catholic Primary School, Circular Head Christian School, and Smithton and Edith Creek primary schools.

Comprising mixed teams from grades three to six, all teams displayed sportsmanship and teamwork.

“It was great to see old and new players learning new skills and most of all, having fun,” said coordinator Jo Cartledge.

“The roster was quite close throughout the six weeks but by week five, two teams had enough points to automatically go straight into the Grand Final before the last rounds in week six.”

The CHCS Maroon and SPC Yellow teams played off in the premiership match last Wednesday, in an even contest of skill and determination.

Ultimately, CHCS Maroon took the title with a 1-0 victory.

Mrs Cartledge said parents and students were already looking forward to next year’s soccer roster.
