Awards. Tall Timbers Tasmania earned two accolades at the 2017 Tasmanian Hospitality Association Awards for Excellence.
At the gala event in Hobart on Monday, the local business received Best New Tourism Initiative and Hotel or Accommodation Venue of the Year for regional areas.
Tall Timbers sales and marketing manager Dave Joiner says this acknowledgment further motivates staff to deliver exception service.
“This is a great [reflection] on what our team does.
“As an organisation that is a champion for tourism in Tasmania we are proud to be aligned with the THA and support everything they do.”
THA general manager Steve Old said the standard of all winners this year was exceptional.
“With hospitality being the third largest employing industry in the state, with around nine per cent of the workforce, it is vitally important to our state that we have a strong and vibrant industry,” he said.
“The awards night showcases how strong and important this iconic industry is to the Tasmanian economy and tourism in general with more than 22,000 people employed in hospitality in this state.”
