Contribution. Scotchtown Football Club has congratulated former Tiger 15-year-old Mason Chatwin on his selection into the Under 15 State Team with a $500 donation to go toward the young footballer’s travelling costs.

Mason will travel to Maroochydore, Queensland for the School Sport Australia National Championships in July.

He began his playing career with the Scotchtown Tigers in the Circular Head Football Association at just 11 years before stepping up to the North West Football League full time this year to play with the Circular Head Giants’ U/16s side.

The club invited Life Members and club sponsors to Saturday’s home games against Irishtown where Mason returned for a run with the Tigers.

Scotchtown Football Club treasurer Bev Blakemore said the club is honoured to have watched Mason grow and develop his football in past years and pleased to be able to financially assist him in his journey.

“We wish Mason all the very best in his future endeavours and hope he goes a long way with his football,” she said.

The School Sport Australia National Championships will be held from July 23-30.
