Saints verse Defence

Game. The Australian Defence Force will bring their full force to the court when they meet with Smithton Basketball Club this Monday (January 30).

The national basketball team, made up of air force, navy and army personnel took on the Smithton Saints last year and are back for more friendly rivalry.

Two development clinics with the ADF team will be held from 1pm and 2pm at Smithton High School’s gymnasium.

The first training session will be for Under 10 and 12 players followed by Under 14 and 16 players before the ADF women meet with the Saints ladies at Smithton Sports Centre from 6pm, in the first game played on the court since the stadium’s refurbishment late last year.

The ADF men will not be visiting, however a practice match between the Saints and Somerset Heat will take place at 7.30pm.

For more information pop into Smithton Sports on Emmett Street and see Sally Elliott.
