CHHA. Circular Head Hockey Association’s first semi final saw Irishtown play Mustangs.
Irishtown dominated the first half but were quieter in the second, which allowed Mustangs more possession putting pressure on Irishtown’s defence.
Irishtown were well led by Bec Wells with support from Annabel Dixon, finishing the game 2-1.
The second semi was between Robins and Tigers. The start of the match saw Robins dominant but fail to convert several penalty corners. Tigers settled and scored against the run of play.
After a short watering break, Robins immediatley equalised through brilliant team passing and a well finished goal by Sam Johns.
Robins edged further ahead with a goal by Bec Gould after nicely drawing the goalie.
Play remained even for the rest of the game. Tigers’ defence worked hard, however possession hockey and a converted penalty storke saw Robins through to the grand final, with a 3-1 win.
Last week’s results should have read:
Division two Best and Fairest winner Karlette Perry (Tigers), runner up Sam Johns (Robins).
Division three Best and Fairest winner Ella Curtain (Robins), runner up Ali Oates (Robins).
