Review. Circular Head residents are being given the opportunity to have their say on local education issues as part of an independent review into regional, rural and remote education in Australia.
Liberal Senator for Tasmania Stephen Parry said the review will consider the challenges, barriers and successes that impact education outcomes, including transition to further study, training and employment.
“The review is being led by Emeritus Professor John Halsey of Flinders University, who has extensive experience in rural and remote education and is passionate about the sustainability of remote schools and communities,” Senator Parry said.
Professor Halsey is expected to deliver his report to the government by the end of the year.
A public forum was held in Smithton on Tuesday, for further information visit www.education.gov.au/independent-review-regional-rural-and-remote-education.
