Retail. A pop-up shop will open in Smithton tomorrow (Thursday December 19), selling goods from local businesses and those afar.
Emma Pinner, of Smithton, is behind the project and it is the first of its kind in Circular Head.
Pop In Circular Head will pop-up at 55 Emmett Street, Smithton, and will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, (closed Sunday), Monday and Tuesday from 10am.
“I’m showcasing home-based business from all over Tasmania and from the many people who make quality crafts and goods in Circular Head,” Mrs Pinner said.
“My thought behind this project was to do something for charity as I’ve done several shopping nights previously, I wanted to re-invent the concept, along with bringing something new to Circular Head that would complement our current retail sector as well as giving exposure to Tasmanian designer-makers.
“The pop-up shop fitted perfectly.”
Mrs Pinner said as she travel extensively with her business she sees so much talent. “Living and making my products in a small town, I felt this would be an amazing opportunity not to be missed so close to Christmas.”
Profits from the project will go to Treasure Chest.
“If the people get behind the concept and support it to make it successful then we will certainly look at doing more in the New Year,” Mrs Pinner said.
