Event. If you find yourself free next Saturday (November 7), why not head along to Smithton Girl Guides’ ‘Monster Garage and Car Boot Sale’?

Promising to delight one and all with a variety of stalls and activities on offer, the event will be one of the Guides’ major fundraisers for the year.

Unit leader Kate Wainwright encouraged the community to support the family-friendly market, hoping to make it a yearly event.

“We want to raise the profile of Guides within the community,” she said. With fundraising “ensuring the future of Guides in Circular Head”.

Open from 8am-2pm, special guest Frangipani Annie will make an appearance throughout the day, while Emma Berechree’s ‘Splash’ face painting and Nicole Lovell’s ‘Bawloons’ balloon art will mesmerise children, while a treasure-trove of cake stalls and car boot sales will appeal to anyone hoping to bag a bargain.

The community can support the cause further by donating items for sale or registering their own stalls for the day.

For more information or to book a stall, contact Kate Wainwright on 0428 834 482 or Tracey John on 0419 897 692.
