Modelling good deeds

Competition. Annalise Monson has a dream to become the next Australian Supermodel of the Year.

To get there, she has been working away at the modelling side of things and now looks to the community for their support.

The 19-year-old Smithton local is asking people to back her by liking social media posts related to the contest, and to give generously as she fundraises for Beyondblue with raffles in Smithton as well as offering photoshoots with all proceeds going to the cause.

A charity close to her heart, Annalise says “sadly mental health effects so many people in Circular Head and Tasmania”.

“Especially growing up my whole life in Smithton, it’s amazing how much our community supports one another.

“My goal is to raise as much money as I can but also help reduce the stigma of mental health as sadly it’s a thing people are too scared to talk about.

“If I was to progress in the competition it would honestly mean the world to me. Doing what I love while helping others is amazing.”

This is Annalise’s third national pageant, and second time competing in Australian Supermodel of the Year.

“I hope to be a role model to others in by doing this and letting them know not to give up no matter how many times you fail – you can only improve and go up.”
