It’s show time

Plans. A new president and some fresh ideas for this year’s annual show are what’s keeping Circular Head Agricultural Society busy this month.

During the society’s annual general meeting held late last month, president of four years, Milton de Jonge, handed over the reins to committee member Tony Hine.

Helping make up the committee alongside Mr Hine are Ross Hine (patron), Peter Stewart (senior vice president), Damien Smith (junior vice president) and Josie Wells (secretary/treasurer).

Preparations for this year’s show on Saturday December 5 are underway, with the committee hopeful of introducing a Collectors’ Corner among the stalls.

The committee will also be welcoming award-winning country music artist Paul Costa and his band to provide live entertainment on the day.

Costa is a three-time Golden Guitar nominee who has performed at Tamworth Country Music Festival among many other national and international festivals.

Anyone who has an assortment of collectables that they would like to share with patrons at the show, is encouraged to contact Josie Wells on 0456 003 609 or email chagsociety@gmail.com.

SAVE THE DATE

Circular Head Agricultural Society’s 107th annual show will be held on Saturday December 5 at Stanley Recreation Ground.
