Winter. At your next shop at Woolies in Smithton, you will have the opportunity to help deliver more food and groceries to families in need.
Until Tuesday (July 24), Woolworths customers can add a $2 Foodbank token donation to their purchase.
“At this time of the year we have families struggling to make ends meet, with meal skipping becoming standard practice, particularly for parents,” Foodbank Australia chief executive officer Brianna Casey said.
Foodbank can provide a meal to an Australian in need for 50 cents, so each donation of $2 will help provide four nourishing meals.
