TWLNW. Latrobe had secured a Tasmanian Women’s League North West victory within the opening minutes on Saturday as the Circular Head Giants struggled throughout the round 12 encounter.
Missing eight key players, Circular Head travelled to Latrobe determined to remain competitive.
The home side secure five goals within the first term before extending their lead slightly in the second with eight majors and four behinds.
The Giants had been unsuccessful in impacting the scoreboard in the first half but remained determined as the second half ensued.
Best on ground players Emma Ling and Sarah Jaeger provided drive in the midfield while Caicie Keogh and Christina Johnson used their skills to their advantage.
By the final change, Latrobe had booted 12 goals and 11 points and the damage had been done.
In a last quarter effort, Circular Head rallied against their opponents but were unable to contest the 15.11.101 defeat.
Finishing the Tasmanian Women’s League inaugural North West season in fourth place, the Circular Head Giants will contend for premiership glory in the coming weeks with their Semi Final opponent to be revealed following the final round this Saturday.
