CHCA. Forest Stanley conquered Irishtown in the Circular Head Cricket Association Grand Final on Saturday.
The Shamrocks completed the season undefeated with only one washed out draw tainting their record.
The Demons finished the 12 round season with six victories and five defeats as well as a washed out game.
Playing in Smithton, Irishtown won the toss to post 121 in 36.4 overs. Forest Stanley bowler Eli Bellinger did the damage throughout the first innings, stealing a spectacular five wickets from six conceded runs in 3.4 overs, including one maiden.
Jade Best (2/28), Sam Poke (2/32) and Iain Bruce (1/21) bowled the remaining wickets assisted by Zachary Barber with three catches in the field.
The Demons started the second innings with a thrilling partnership between Neville Bellinger (35 not out) and Shane Dennison (40) before Barber (25) continued the hard hitting at third in the order.
With 12 runs to reach the target, Poke stepped up to the crease adding six runs to the total before a disappointing duck prevented Steve Poulter from making an impact on the game.

Forest Stanley sacrificed four wickets to reach their total of 122 in 37.4 overs.
