Open. Winners of this year’s Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Awards will not only receive business accolades but free airtime on WIN Television.
In a first for the awards, the $2000 TV advertising campaign will be offered to 14 of the 16 award winners.
The awards recognise operators and individuals who demonstrate excellence in the tourism industry.
Cradle Coast Authority initiated the awards six years ago to boost the profile and number of the region’s entrants in state and national tourism award competitions.
Categories are aligned to the state award competition and feature Accommodation, Tourism Restaurants, Events and Festivals, and Tour Operators, among others.
Awards for Young Achiever and Outstanding Contribution by an Individual to the Tourism Industry are also on offer.
Winners will be announced at the 2015 Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Forum in Queenstown at the end of July.
In another new initiative for 2015, the Roger Jaensch MP Tourism Scholarship offers $1000 to someone wanting to enhance their career and their contribution to the region’s tourism industry by undertaking study or professional development.
Entries for the awards and scholarship close on Friday June 19.
