CNW. The Circular Head Colts Under 17 side claimed victories in rounds three and four of the Cricket North West season last month.
Meeting with the Burnie Hurricanes on Sunday December 10, Circular Head bowled first to claim the home side all out for 158 runs from 39.5 overs as Ben Spinks (4/39) and Jake Roberts (3/25) led the troops.
In the second innings, Logan Smith (36) and Sam Muller (65) partnered to set the side in good stead before Spinks (17), Lochlan Hunt (10 not out) and Kalien Oates (5 not out) met the target of 3/161 within 27 overs.
Playing in Smithton on Sunday December 17 against Devonport Orions, the visitors set a target of 5/150 within 40 overs as Smith (2/15), Roberts (1/37) and Caleb Cole (1/5) bowled the wickets with a catch from both Judd Stewart and Kalon Nicholls.
Smith (52 not out) and Muller (81 not out) opened the second innings with an impressive partnership involving one six and four fours from Smith and three sixes and eight fours from Muller to reach 152 runs within 19.1 overs.

The Under 13 side continues to impress with victories in rounds five and six last month.
Travelling to meet with Devonport Teal on Sunday December 10, Circular Head batted first as Eli Bellinger (42), Jotham Saward (32), Cooper Mallinson (32 not out) and Kade Hardy (17) alongside their teammates set a total of 196 runs in 28.2 overs.
Bowling the second innings, Colts players Hardy (2/17), Saward (1/7), Jonah Evans (1/20) and Solomon Tuxworth (1/25) restricted the home side to 5/167 in 30 overs to win by 29 runs.
On Sunday December 17, Circular Head bowled Burnie Hurricanes Black all out for 119 in 28.2 overs led by Hardy with an impressive four wickets from nine runs.
Hardy continued to perform exceptionally in the second innings posting 35 not out alongside Bellinger (38 not out) and Tuxworth (12 not out) to catch the target for a total of 1/121 from 14.3 overs.
The Circular Head Colts Under 13 side will play round seven on Sunday January 14 against Latrobe Demons.
