CNW. Circular Head TOP Fish Colts Under 13s walked away with a win against Sheffield Mountaineers in Smithton on Sunday in a classy display of cricket.
The visitors won the toss and sent the Colts in to bat, a decision which worked in the favour of the home side, amassing a total of 152 runs.
Eli Bellinger (27), Bronson Sutton-Collins (25) and Zac Spinks (14) supported the side well before Circular Head was bowled all out just three balls shy of 30 overs.
Set with the task of defending their healthy score in the second innings, the Colts once again displayed a good all-round bowling and fielding performance, dismissing Sheffield for 90 runs in 20 overs.
Sutton-Collins (3/6) continued his good form whilst Spinks (2/2) also finished with multiple wickets to see Circular Head to a 62-run victory.
This Sunday, the Colts will travel to Byard Park to meet with Devonport White at 10am while the Circular Head Cowbiz Colts U/17s will wait to play their round six match with Devonport Orions in Smithton on Wednesday February 1 at 3pm.
The U17s will play their round seven game this Sunday (January 29) at Wynyard against the Wynyard Blues from 10am.
