Social. Circular Head Motorcycle Club held its Christmas barbecue on Saturday with a surprise visit from some champion riders.

World champion enduro motorcycle rider Matt Phillips, of Wynyard, and fellow riders Rudy Moroni, of Italy, and Morgan Wright, of Ulverstone, surprised the young members on the day, taking the time out to do some demonstrations as well as hand out prizes.

About 70 people turned up for the practice day with novelty events and many prizes.

The day’s social events included the sack race and bike control for the juniors, and challenges for the big bikes including bike control and a race to get their gear on and start their bikes.

The main awards presented on the day were club awards for being good role models, awarded to Jamisen Sheehan and William Cooper; and Most Improved Rider presented to William Cooper.

Young Seniors, Kali Cooper and Ryan Casburn, were also recognised for the contribution they make to the club.
