Bowling for joy

More than 100 participants are expected to take part in the Senior Citizens’ Club’s annual social bowls competition held at the Seniors’ Centre this Saturday May 28. 

Leisure. The Circular Head Senior Citizens’ Club will welcome 24 teams to Smithton this Saturday May 28 for a social bowls carnival.

The event will run from 10am to 3pm at the Seniors’ Centre with light catering provided.

Teams will travel from as far as Port Sorell, Devonport, Ulverstone and Burnie to play off against local sides with social rivalry.

More than 100 players are expected to attend the annual competition with the committee welcoming spectators to enjoy the action.
