Birds. Raptor hotline

A new dedicated hotline is up and running in Tasmania to ensure reports of injured raptors can be responded to immediately.

The state government has funded $7000 to the maintenance of the 1800RAPTOR Hotline, to ensure injured birds can get the care they need as soon as possible.

The Raptor and Wildlife Refuge in Kettering has been working hard for a number of years to successfully rehabilitate birds of prey before they are released back into the wild.

For an injured bird to have the best chance of survival, let alone rehabilitation, time is critical.
