CHFA. Round four of Circular Head Football Association resulted in large margins within the Seniors games, with Irishtown earning a 75 point win and Forest Stanley claiming a 79 point victory.
A tight opening quarter ensued between Irishtown and Scotchtown with the home side edging ahead by two points at the first break.
Irishtown extended this lead dramatically in the remaining quarters while restricting Scotchtown to their six first-quarter goals.
Kurt Everett and Sean Ryan led the scorers with four majors each followed by Nick Ling in the 16 goal haul, winning 16.16.112 to 6.1.37.
In the round’s second Seniors affair, Forest Stanley controlled Redpa’s game from the outset booting ahead confidently to gain a 37 point margin in their favour at the main break. Redpa mustered just two points in the second half to record a 13.19.97 to 2.6.18 final score.
In the Reserves, Irishtown restricted Scotchtown to one goal while earning a three digit final score of 16.9.105 to 1.5.11. Redpa celebrated Anthony Thompson’s 150th club game however were unable to achieve the desired result as Forest Stanley earned a narrow win of 5.9.39 to 5.5.35.
The Under 16s action saw Irishtown take the points ahead of Scotchtown, 11.11.77 to 4.2.26, while Redpa put on a show against Forest Stanley to win 14.25.109 to 1.1.7.
Round five will be played between Irishtown and Redpa, and Scotchtown and Forest Stanley this Saturday (June 3).
Redpa Football Club Reserves player Anthony Thompson was joined by his children, Charlotte, Marshall and Xavier, to celebrate 150 club games during round four of the Circular Head Football Association on Saturday.
