Managers. The state government is calling for expressions of interest to enable the reinstatement of the Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area Management Committee.
Liberal Member for Braddon Joan Rylah said on Saturday the committee will be reinstated as soon as possible.
“This committee was established under the current management plan for the Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area and it plays an important role in engaging with the users of the reserve and providing advice and support to the Parks and Wildlife Service in managing the reserve,” she said.
“The government is committed to facilitating sensible and appropriate access to the area, and the reinstatement of the committee will give the community a much stronger voice regarding important matters such as this.”
The committee is made up of six members and they are normally appointed for a period of three years.
